GIFT City Insider

About

We bought here first. Then we built the site we couldn't find.

GIFT City Insider is run by an NRI in Toronto who owns property in this corridor — bought the hard way: across ten time zones, through brochure math, WhatsApp brokers and possession dates that meant nothing until we learned to read RERA certificates.

The problem we had

Buying Indian property from abroad means choosing between two bad information sources: developers (who are selling) and brokers (who are paid by developers). Every listing is "premium." Every possession date is "soon." Every yield is inflated by two points. The English-language research layer that exists for Singapore or Dubai property — independent reviews, honest data, stated methodology — simply didn't exist for the one Indian district global money is actually moving to.

So the rule here is simple: publish what we'd want to know before wiring our own money — and nothing we wouldn't stake our own name on.

What that means in practice

Why anonymous-ish?

The brand stands on the research, not on a face. What matters for your trust: the person behind this owns in the corridor (same side of the table as you), lives the NRI logistics daily (Toronto, EST, cross-border banking and all), and answers every email personally. When you get on a call, you'll know exactly who you're talking to.

Where we're headed

A YouTube research channel, quarterly price tracker updates, project reviews in the format this corridor deserves, and a monthly Corridor Letter. If that sounds useful, start with the guide.
